Over here is the Debian SGML/XML HOWTO. SGML is spiffy as hell for creating documentation of any sort, because one sgml file can be exploded into a nice format, while XML is, of course, the way of the future.

I've been helping shane install linux on his new Vaio N505VX, and we had a lot of problems. Eventually we came across the Linux on Laptops page, which ,in particular, had a link to this page, which was VERY useful in our quest, because we're trying to deal with a pcmcia cd-rom drive. Also VERY handy was this page about using pcmia stuff in Linux, which I have no experience with.
I'm not sure which I'd rather have: The insanity that Source Forge is up to, or good old CDROM.com... It's really a tough call, but they both kick some ass.
Granted, I upgraded DORFL to Windows 2000, but so far, it actually has been more stable than Windows 98, and all my games run. However, here's an amusing look by The Onion at what's new in Windows 2000.
Check out Corewars, a program which is a simulated computer in which simulated hostile programs attack each other. It's a very cool idea, and hopefully lets crackers indulge themselves without having to do the real thing.
Check out Anand's review of Intel's response to AMD's announcement a couple days ago. Also, while you're there, check out their wrap-up of GeForce DDR cards. Good Stuff. I don't need the CPU, though they're now twice as fast as my 500 mhz chips, but I would like one of the video cards...
"Aside from that one problem, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

See Mr. T take on Dante and Randal over here. Highly amusing. It's on a tripod site, though, so watch out for those popups.
xmlhack is a pretty spiffy site which links to all the latest news on XML, which looks cooler and cooler every time I look into it, though I never go the distance and actually learn XML. I should just bite the bullet.
Just after I finished going to the bathroom, after having noticed the Lucky Charms odor from my urine, I saw a poster on the wall advertising a dance. The slogan on the poster was "Get Lucky", and featured a certain leprechaun I could name...
NIS is cool, but about as secure as a laptop left in the middle of People's Park. What to do about it? Over here we have a page detailing how this department at Auburn University secured NIS. Worth checking out if you're at all in the position to have to set up any sort of large network needing a lot of authentication, etc.
Well, I guess it had to happen sometime, and I'm glad AMD is the one that got there. The first 1GHz chip targeted at a consumer desktop has been announced avaiable by AMD. AnandTech has this nice article that summarizes the state of fast x86 processors today. Check it out, it's cool.
